Abstract :
A two symbols/branch MBCM scheme is investigated under fading channels. Compared to a conventional BCM scheme, the two symbols/branch MBCM scheme produces better performances on either Gaussian or fading channels. The pilot symbol assisted technique as well as the techniques of interleaving and branch weighting are employed to combat the effect of channel fading. Through computer simulation, it is shown that large coding gains are obtained for both Rayleigh and Rician fading channels
