Abstract :
This article focuses on the differentiated services model as a basis for the provision of QoS in the Internet. The objective is to evaluate the performance of TCP traffic flows crossing domains where nodes implement the assured forwarding per hop behaviour (PHB). The results obtained show the adequacy of this service in the supply of QoS guarantees and disclose to the problems of fairness in the bandwidth sharing
