Abstract
Presents the results of feasibilty studies undertaken to design a fuzzy safety monitoring system and a fuzzy rod controller. The purpose of the fuzzy safety monitoring system being to provide early detection of steam leaks in a nuclear steam raising plant which is a subsystem within a PWR. The fuzzy rod controller was developed to control the T AVE in a PWR under steady-state and transient operating conditions
