Abstract :
People have more consciousness on wetland recovery, bird watching and ecosystem tourism, energy saving and reduction of carbon dioxide emission in recent years. On the conservation of ecosystem and their habitat, water quality is an important evaluation index. However, there is still a lack of reliable ubiquitous evaluation index. This paper is focused on proposing a ubiquitous method for evaluating water quality. Measured data from seven places, including the upstream, middle and lower stream of artificial creek surrounding NTUT, and turtle pool at NTUT, and creeks close to TNUT, DLIT and MCUT, were used for ubiquitous evaluation of water quality by grey relational analysis. Besides, data measured at upstream creek of NTUT were used to construct the grey prediction models. Analytical results show that the water quality in the neighborhood of MCUT is better than the others. On the contrary, the water quality at the turtle pool at NTUT is the worst. The grey model has an average prediction accuracy of 99.27% that verifies its applicability to the water quality evaluation. The proposed method can provide an alternative reference for the government or ecosystem theme parks to broadcast the environmental quality to the public.
