  • Abstract
    Design of fuel cells supporting system for power autonomous systems and microgrids is proposed. The technique is based on the approach of multilevel single-phase DC/AC converter. Designed system includes fuel cells stack, 5-level single-phase DC/AC converter based on half-bridge structural elements to generate upper levels. Control system is designed and developed using PIC18 microcontroller. To find the switching angles with minimized THD for output voltage of the converter the genetic algorithm approach is applied and simulated.
