Abstract :
A synthesis procedure for tridiagonal state-space structures is presented. The synthesis procedure yields structures using a reduced number of multipliers, which are free of zero-input and constant-input limit cycles. In addition, its output roundoff noise is minimized by optimizing some free parameters. A numerical example illustrating the synthesis procedure is provided.<>
