Abstract :
The Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technology is an excellent method for the preparation of ultrathin films with a controlled thickness and well-defined molecular order. The materials of choice for constructing the LB films cover a wide range from low molecular weight amphiphiles to performed polymers and biological compounds. At the same time, with the combination of materials science and life science, it is more important and valuable to study the structure of LB films made by protein and lipid and their relation. Then in order to obtain good biological LB films, available film-forming conditions must be obtained. Therefore, it is important and essential to study the behavior and states of bovine serum albumin-phosphatidylcholine (BSA-PC) monolayer at air-water interface. The target of using BSA-PC is to form a measure of preparing biological molecular LB films so that we can simulate biological environment and make further investigation on interactive mechanism and application of biological molecular films. It is also important to further study on bionics. The investigation of the change of behavior of BSA-PC mixed monolayer at air-water interface is the subject of this paper
