Abstract :
The demand for high definition displays is increasing, while the availability of high resolution sources is still very limited. This opens the opportunity to combine high quality scan rate conversion with spatial up-conversion and enhancement to obtain a high definition experience from standard definition video. We present a 3-dimensional (3D) scan-convertor using motion-compensation and sharpness enhancement technology to provide a HD experience from SD sources.
