    Summary form only given. In previous work we showed how the tunability of a four-wave mixing process could be extended by coupling to a passive linear waveguide. Since then we have investigated this new phase matching technique for the specific geometry of a twin-core coupler and have extended our theory to include a correction to the effective dispersion due to the presence of the passive core
