Abstract :
Summary form only given. We report the results of our theoretical and experimental analysis of transverse dynamics of photorefractive oscillators (PRO). Our theoretical, numerical, and experimental analysis shows, that the field dynamics in PROs is very similar to that in class-A lasers. An equation of the complex Ginzburg-Landau type can be derived for the optical field dynamics in the single-longitudinal-mode PRO
