Abstract :
In this paper, an experimental system is realized to record and analyze the visual attention regions of images based on an eye tracker. Then eye-movement events of observers during an image observation such as fixations are captured by an eye tracker in the experiment. Furthermore, the relationships between visual attention regions and saliency maps of the test images are analyzed by calculating the saliency rate of fixations. Experimental results show a high consistency of visual attention regions and saliency regions defined by saliency maps.
