Abstract
We evaluated image performance of scintillator coupled CMOS APS imager for radiography and mammography conditions, respectively. 80 kVp and 28 kVp of X-ray tube voltage at the SID of 720 mm and 600 mm were set for each condition. Commercially available scintillator such as Lanex screen, needle structured CsI(Tl), and fiber optic structured CsI (Tl) were coupled CMOS APS imager. From the experimental results, needle CsI type scintillator was candidate in radiography condition, having 45 % at 3 mm-1. However, at the higher frequency no scintillator showed good DQE in mammography condition although Lanex fine scintillator has DQE of 0.5 at 6 mm-1.
