  • Abstract
In order to promote successive researches such as dynamic optimization and active vibration control, the NASA GRC gearbox as the research object, the dynamic transmission characteristics of which is studied and the bending-torsion model of which is constructed by using Lagrange equations considering gear backlash. This paper employs a hybrid model method to analyze the vibration characteristics of shafts at the locations of bearings and evaluate the gearhousing vibration in a specific operating speed. Numerical simulation results demonstrate the transmission characteristics through the path gear-shaft-bearing-gearhousing, which will be utilized to guide.
