Abstract :
In this paper, the complex-envelope alternating-direction-implicit-finite-difference time-domain (CE-ADI-FDTD) method is implemented to calculate and analyze the 3-D indoor MIMO channel. It is more efficient and accurate compared to ADI-FDTD method, especially for channel modeling of band-limited wireless systems. Based on the calculation results, the field and channel capacity distribution of an indoor 6×6 multi-polarized MIMO system have been obtained. The capacity comparison has been done between multi-polarized and co-polarized systems. According to the analysis results, the multi-polarized MIMO system can provide much higher capacity than the co-polarized system by reducing the correlation among the antennas.
