Abstract :
Permittivity, loss tangent, and permeability are now possible using a computer program for analysis. Accurate data is of utmost concern for this analysis to be computed. In some cases it is required that a fixture be used. In this case, the dielectric samples are made small and donut-shaped so that they can be inserted into the standard coaxial APC-7 line. The measurements take only a few seconds to make, but the analysis demonstrates how important the reference planes of the sample effect the interpretation.
