Abstract :
Based on the survey of farm households and key informant interviews, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the impact of transgenic biotechnology regulation on GM cotton. As transgenic technology is closely related to human health and the environment, its risks raises special attention and a lot of controversy. Although China has established a series of regulation of GM technology, but there are still some problems in the process of industrialization, especially neglect of the interests of the technical users-farmers and their participation in regulation. So rethinking existing technical regulations related to risk management and interests of farmers will help to establish a sound technical regulation system, and strengthen the implementation capacity of technical regulation.
