Abstract :
The paper presents an implementation of a FPGA-based prototype for an EEG Analyzer device. It is a portable biomedical device that performs electroencephalographic (EEG) signal analysis targeted at real-time in-field diagnostics of human brain disorders such as depression. The analysis is based on an original algorithm for calculation of spectral asymmetry index (SASI). The paper provides implementation details of the specific digital signal processing and two controller cores.
