Abstract
This paper presents a detailed analysis of a 3-layer phase shifting surface (PSS) intended for the design of a thin microwave Fresnel lens at Ka band. In particular, local electric fields and an equivalent circuit model of the PSS are presented. The effects of oblique incidence on the surface of the Fresnel lens emanating from the feed antenna are also studied. Measurement results are presented and discussed.
