Abstract :
With the progress of industrial technology, CR (Compact Range) reflector system has gradually been adopted in the anechoic chamber. The compact range reflector is mainly used in the measurement of antenna gain pattern, and RCS (Radar Cross Section) value. The size of CR is with 160 cm diameter of offset reflector. Measurement results of the quiet zone are within /spl plusmn/1 dB amplitude ripple and /spl plusmn/5/spl deg/ phase ripple at 15 GHz, The quiet zone area is about 33% of the size of reflector. In order to reduce the edge diffraction, the impulse time domain antenna measurement system (TDAMS) is combined with the CR reflector system for antenna or RCS measurement. Double ridge horn antenna is measured by the above developed system and the traditional far field range. The results are quite agreed by these two methods.
