Abstract :
With the movement of vehicle improvement in performance, requirements of steering columns have become stricter, and their designs have been improved. With such situations, this paper uses a computer simulation instead of preparing costly prototypes to analyze the strength and the collision resistance of a vehicle body. An analysis of electric power steering column assembly has been carried out using a collision analysis model and a comparison of analysis results and test results provided.
