Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new reduced-rank detector in partially homogeneous environment (PHE), where the covariance matrices of the primary and the secondary data have the same structure, but possibly different power. The new detector is based on the projection technique and the concept of the generalized guard channel. This new detector possesses constant false alarm rate (CFAR) property and has higher probability of detection (PD) than those of the classical adaptive coherence estimator (ACE) detector and its conventionally reduced-rank version (RR-ACE) in the partially homogeneous environment.
