Abstract :
A simple and quick automatic method for image registration is presented. The method is based on the Hotelling transform, which is applied to gray-scale images. To show the potential usefulness of the method it was applied to obtain the difference of two images. One of these images was the translated and rotated version of the other, in which a "synthetic" difference was introduced.
