Abstract :
Devices communicate via ad hoc networks known as piconets also known as Bluetooth PAN. A device can belong to more than one piconet simultaneously known as scatternet. Devices often require "pairing" to exchange data. Pairing is usually not required to exploit vulnerabilities. Some devices do not pair but rely on MAC permissions. Pairing can be abused buy maintaining open channels after a valid transfer.
