Abstract :
Summary form only given. We present a comparison of three techniques for sum frequency mixing of two continuous wave, diode end pumped, polarized neodymium lasers (1080 nm Nd:YAP and 1444 nm Nd:YAG) to 618nm: doubly resonant intracavity mixing, singly resonant intracavity mixing and single pass, non resonant mixing. The most suitable design for display applications was found to be singly resonant mixing with PPLN. Scalability to one watt appears possible.
