Abstract :
About 2MW PV system has been constructed in Hokuto to verify grid stabilization with a large-scale PV system. The 400 kW large-scale power conditioner (LS-PCS) has been developed to connect it to an existing extra-high voltage AC grid effectively and to operate stably. A modification of maximum power tracking (MPPT) control in the LS-PCS was performed to the voltage control from current control in order to get PV generation power with high efficiency even in frequent solar radiation changes. In this paper, project outlines were introduced first and verification test results on grid stabilization R&D of 2nd stage were shown and discussed.
