Abstract :
Summary form only given. It has been reported by Bhar et al. and Schunemann et al. that AgGa/sub 1-x/In/sub x/Se/sub 2/ with nominally x=0.405 and 0.420 is 90/spl deg/ phase matchable for SHG of a CO/sub 2/ laser at 9.6574 and 9.6392 /spl mu/m, and 9.2714 /spl mu/m respectively. We have achieved 90/spl deg/ phase-matched THG of CO/sub 2/ laser wavelengths at 9.2714-10.5910 /spl mu/m by mixing the fundamental and second harmonic in the same compound with x=0.474.
