Abstract :
The authors investigate the feasibility of using modern interactive games to help improve the quality of life of the elderly whether they are living in their own homes or in aged care facilities. Ultimately the aim is to integrate such technologies into their prototype health monitoring system called ReMoteCare, a wireless sensor network based system. It is hoped that a series of interactive exercises will help to improve the physical and mental health outcomes of the elderly.
