Abstract
This paper describes the application of the method established in the Supplement 1 to the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement for the evaluation of uncertainties in the measurement of losses in power transformers. Also presented is the criterion for the validation of the software used for these measurements based on the original Guide. This additional method was developed since the commonly used one, as described in the original Guide, presents some limitations, especially those related to the degree of nonlinearities of the measuring model. This method is based on the propagation of probability density functions of the input quantities by the simulation of Monte Carlo Method. The results show that for a particular case, the degrees of nonlinearity of the models are such that this measuring method is required.
