Abstract :
In this paper, an on-chip optical dielectric rod antenna for the next generation many-core chip interconnections is demonstrated. The designed antenna has gain above 9dBi and consistent radiation patterns from 172THz to 222THz. A 32-channel optical broadcasting network is also designed and over 75% efficiency is obtained. Presented results are further validated by well-calibrated microwave measurements of a fabricated Vivaldi antenna microwave broadcast network.
