Abstract :
A novel technique for controlling cycloconverters is presented. The main advantages are a much improved harmonic spectrum in the output voltage, the proposed strategy allows much easier implementation using microprocessors, and it eliminates the possibility of short-circuits between the positive and negative groups of converters
