Abstract :
Field emission and long time emission stability of imogolite are measured and then compared with carbon nanotubes. The conductance of imogolites in vacuum and under exposure of various gases are also measured. From the geometry and high aspect ratio, the imogolite is proved to be an excellent electron emitter. The conductance of mat-imogolites is observed to increase with increasing water pressure.
