Abstract :
FPGA technology is described based on two main features: architecture and programming technology. Four basic FPGA architectures are presented, along with programming technologies used by different manufacturers. Advantages and disadvantages of different programming approaches are pointed out and relationship between architecture and programming technology is discussed
