A middleware architecture for ITV receivers

With the advent of open standards for interactive TV, various interactive data services are enabled to run transparently across vendor-specific hardware platforms. With careful modular design and interfaces, a considerable amount of middleware components can be reused without or with minor modifications. In this paper, a general architecture of the middleware and its few key components for DTV receivers are introduced.
