Abstract
This paper presents a sensorless vector control strategy for a stand-alone doubly-fed induction generator supplying energy to an isolated load. A model reference adaptive system, or MRAS, is used to estimate the generator rotational speed. Results from a 2.5kW experimental prototype are presented for the generator feeding a load at constant voltage and frequency for sub and super synchronous speed operation.
