Abstract :
This paper presents findings from an evaluation study of a project aimed at using smartphones for experiential learning in the botanical garden of Oranim College in Israel. The evaluation of the project focused on four main aspects: the students´ and the lecturer´s general satisfaction with the project, the students´ perception of the contribution of the project to their learning, the students´ perception of the contribution of the smartphone to the learning process, and the quality of their learning outcomes, e.g., the activities that they designed. This initial attempt to integrate experiential learning and smartphones elicited many important conclusions about how the smartphone may be integrated into experiential learning.
