Abstract
Competitiveness of the graduates of engineering education programs is an important criterion in the evaluation of the quality of education acquired in the university. The high level of fundamental and professional competencies of a young engineer is a necessary but not sufficient condition for the successful employment at the modern labour market. During an interview with a university graduate the company representative needs to be able to get an overall impression of the potential abilities and real achievements of a graduated engineer, in various spheres of his versatile activity: cognitive activity, research, work on projects, social, entrepreneurial activity, etc. A portfolio of achievements that the student has structured and prepared during the education period may serve as an effective means of self-presentation.
