Abstract :
Thermographic devices which are able to acquire images, such as infrared line scanners, are becoming increasingly popular. One of the major issues when working with this kind of devices is accurate spatial calibration, necessary in order to extract metric information from images. In this work, a spatial calibration procedure for infrared line scanners is proposed. The proposed procedure is based on a geometrical model to calculate the position of every sample together with its size. Within the geometrical model, an analysis of the uncertainty of the measurement is carried out. Finally the spatial calibration procedure is applied to a commercial infrared line scanner: the LandScan LS613
