Abstract :
Summary form only given. Properties of the polyaniline semitransparent f ilms doped in 1M ZnC1/sub 2/ have been studied in comparison with those in 1M KCl acifified with HCI at the same pH = 5.5. It was found that resistivity of polyaniline in the basic form approximately equal 10/sup10/ Ohm per square while treating in the KC1 and ZnCl/sub 2/ solutions led to decrease of the resistivity to ~10/sup 9/ and ~10/sup 6/ Ohm per square correspondingly. Only after interaction with ZnC1/sub 2/ the film color was changed from blue to green followed by appearing two absorption bands 25*10/sup 3/ and 14*10/sup 3/ cm/sup -1/ in visible region. Voltammetric studies show one smeared reversible peak in KCl (width at half height H/sub 0.5=45OmV) and well defined VAC in ZnCl/sub 2/ solution (H/sub 0.5/=60-80mV). Results presented are interpreted from the point of´ view of conducting complex salt formation between polyaniline and Lewis acid ZnCl/sub 2/.
