Abstract :
A turbo decoder for the 3GPP-LTE standard is implemented in 0.13 μm CMOS technology. The 3.57 mm2 chip exceeds the maximum LTE throughput requirement of 326.4 Mb/s and achieves a peak throughput of 390.6 Mb/s at an energy efficiency of 0.37 nJ/b/iteration.
