Abstract
In system-level design, the key to cope with the complexities involved with System-on-Chip (SOC) designs, is the reuse of Intellectual Property (IF). With the increasing demand for IF, the mechanism to protect an IP component from being copied, modified, or reverse-engineered, becomes very important. This paper describes how reuse and protection of IP is supported by the SpecC language and the SpecC design environment.
