Abstract
In the present work the vibration behavior of the subsynchronous cascade drive due to natural frequency resonance but also due to external causes induced by the motors environment (e.g. load unbalance) is examined and related to the asynchronous motor current pulsations. Results are presented concerning vibrations and the related current harmonics and current space vectors waveforms, which can be used for sensorless vibration monitoring of the subsynchronous cascade drive.
