  • Abstract
    It introduces the common methods of propulsion device fault diagnosis caused by propeller, to avoid the limitation due to the experts majoring in ship engineering and marine engineering when dealing with the propulsion device fault diagnosis alone. We have designed the fault diagnosis system based on expert system approaches. Propulsion device fault diagnosis is a complicated process, which often requires the help of company-level diagnostic system or the diagnostics system of classification societies and research institutions. as a result, we come up with fault diagnosis system based on remote network and have done a preliminary design for the software system.
