Abstract
A microcomputer-based modular data acquisition and processing system with multiple signal input channels, waveform display, waveform amplification, filtering, and FFT (fast Fourier transform) functions was developed for physiological studies. The system is based on an IBM-PC/AT-compatible microcomputer with 80-Mbyte hard disk memory storage. The system architecture design is modular which provides the benefits of flexibility and expandability. Four physiological signals from rats were acquired and processed by this system successfully
