Abstract :
The article presents a paralleling of three two-switch forward converters, which operate at a constant switching-frequency to perform as a single-phase AC/DC converter with power-factor correction. Sliding mode control is employed to control the system. This approach is intended to increase the system reliability. Three 80 W 48 V converters that provide a 160 W maximum load have been designed and simulated. A comparison of the experimental and the simulated results for the same system specifications shows that there is close agreement between them.
