Abstract :
In this paper, the development of a new electrochemical biosensor for L-Dopa detection is described. The biosensor is built from home made screen printed electrodes with mushroom tyrosinase immobilized in a photo-crosslinkable polymeric gel on the working electrode. Concentrations of L-Dopa and other catechols are proved to be detected in the range of 5times10-7 M to 1times10-5 M. Although sensitivity needs to be improved for real application in plasma samples, the device appears promising as a way to evaluate L-Dopa levels during medication with this drug in Parkinson illness.
