Abstract :
With the rapid development of science and technology, and the improvement of production safety and management standards, the use of Distributed Virtual Reality (DVR) to bridge crane operator teaching simulation to train high quality personnel has become a pressing need. As one of the excellent virtual reality software development tools, 3DVRI is remarkable for its strong capability of interaction. Through an in-depth study on 3DVRI, the authors have developed a DVR bridge crane simulator system based on the 3D engine, and studied the distributed network system with a real case. Meanwhile, some key issues for distributed virtual reality of the OSG-based platform have been discussed in the paper.
