Abstract :
The three phase system is undergoing major PQ problems because of various loads present in system and also due to unplanned expansion of the network. Most of AC loads consumes reactive power that result in poor power quality in power system. The paper proposes distribution static compensator for improvement of power quality using PV cell. Dstatcom is used for reducing the reactive power that resulted from various types of load on the distribution systems. The Dstatcom is used for compensating harmonics and neutral current at PCC.
