Abstract
As power system transient stability problems are commonly discussed and studied, various methods are explored to improve the transient stability performance for power systems. This paper focuses on the contribution from the Static VAR Compensators (SVC) for solving the transient voltage sag problems and improving the transient voltage performances. A simplified sensitivity analysis method is presented and the New England 39 Bus System is studied.
