Abstract :
Overvoltage suppression under different operation mode is important problem to the security and stability of EHV/UHV (Extra/Ultra High Voltage) power network. the paper researched and simulated the control method of overvoltage in engineering practice, and conducted experimental verification and comparative analysis of control effect between static shunt reactor and magnetically controlled shunt reactor, this paper propose strategies for overvoltage control of magnetically controlled shunt reactor under different operation mode, enabling a rapid decrease of power frequency overvoltage, obtaining voltage regulation precision, and reducing the impact of the system, which can be used as reference for engineering application.
