Abstract
It is well known that wireless networks are vulnerable to component and link failures, however very little work has been done towards improving the dependability of wireless networks. We present (a) dependability attributes of wireless infrastructure, (b) several architectures to improve the dependability of wireless networks, (c) a simulation model for evaluating one or more of these architectures, and (d) performance results. The results show that a significant improvement is possible in the wireless dependability attributes for supporting emerging applications
